running away from a forklift in
Superstore: Secret Shopper (2016)
How does a live-action TV comedy
have someone running away from
things in a straight line without the
big budget that action movies and
shows have and the ability to do
outlandish things that cartoons would
normally do? Well, this episode of
Superstore managed to handle that in
a very comedic way. After Jonah
tries to help Amy get more of Nosey the Anteater in the storage room when she's trying to
figure out how to work a new forklift since they keep improving it with controls that she
doesn't know how to use, she accidentally makes the whole shelf fall over. Amy and Jonah
lay down in the plush toys and talk for a while before Amy looks up at the shelves and says
that it could have fallen by itself because the bolts are very rusty. Jonah agrees with Amy
very funny how Mateo reacted to the forklift coming towards him and freaked out, yelling
at everyone to get out of the way and knocking over the secret shopper. It also showed me
how much potential Nico Santos has at being a comedic actor in his own right even though
his first acting role that wasn't as himself was in 2014.
from Pac-Man in Pixels (2015)
It was very impressive to see video
games come to life and having to
fight them to save the world, but it
was also an amazing twist when
Pac-Man turned out to be a bad guy
and flipping the perspective of the
Pac-Man game. Even Chistopher
Carr from imdb actually gave this
a 10/10 because he liked how each
video game was parodied the right
amount. It was even more impressive
that they actually got to make a
Prometheus Running Away scene out
of Pac-Man that I actually saw
coming (as with the forklift from #10.)
It was really hilarious to see Josh Gad doing stuff like this and he said some very funny lines that made this running scene so comedic like "I don't want to die a virgin!" and "You've been brainwashed! You're a good boy!" and when Kevin James (who plays Will Cooper) said "Ludlow, run! Pump your legs!" and when Peter Dinklage (who plays Eddie Plant) drove his car into the Pac-Man and said "You just got fireblasted!" I'm glad that even Adam Sandler had a Prometheus Running Away scene in one of his movies and made it really funny, especially since Josh Gad is a comedian himself.

a boulder in Indiana Jones and the
Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)
What an awesome way to start off a
great movie! After Indiana Jones gets
the golden statue, it triggers a boulder
trap to stop anyone from literally
getting away with stealing the golden
statue. What made this scene really
awesome that wasn't in other things
that imitated it, such as Toy Story,
Drawn Together, Steven Universe, Total Drama: The Ridonculous Race and The Goldbergs is that Indiana Jones had to race against the boulder to make it to the exit of the cave first to avoid getting trapped in.
7. Alex Browning running away from
from a tree in Final Destination (2000)
What better movie to have a Prometheus running scene
than a horror movie about cheating death? Alex
Browning didn't quite outrun the tree, but he still
managed to make it out alive and avoid being drowned
in a mud puddle. Having the power to make that sort
of comeback and keep going on to save his girlfriend
Clear Rivers is what makes this a Top 10 for me.
6. Gordie Lachance, Chris Chambers,
Teddy Duchamp and Vern Tessio
running away from a train in Stand By
Me (1986)
The train scene was awesome and it
was a real life-or-death challenge for
these 4 kids in 1959 even more than
the tree was for Alex Browning in
2000. There's nowhere to run to the
side, and the stakes in this running
scene alone have been raised above the previous bottom 4. If you don't make it to the end of the train tracks, you have to jump in the water or on the land at the end next to the water.
deadly things to escape at once!
towards her while sliding down in one direction in a shopping cart. Since she had magic
on her side, it was a real lifesaver for her to blast herself over the bus by making horse legs
come out of the road while getting chased by the angry pirate-costumed waiters.

away from a Griever in The
Maze Runner (2014)
How cool was it when Thomas
and Minho ran away from a
giant robot spider in a straight
line when also having to avoid
getting crushed by the closing
wall part of the maze? That's 2deadly things to escape at once!
away from English castle guards
in Minions (2015)
It was so awesome to see those
minions have so many things
from which to run away and how
they managed to handle them!
Even running straight, they managed
to avoid a guy in a spiky ball suit
who was rolling diagonally and after
they hid in a phone booth where it
turned out that there was a guy with
a chainsaw, they all ran out and
cleverly avoided a tripwire while making everyone else who was chasing them trip on it.

shelves of crystal
balls in Harry Potter
and the Order of the
Phoenix (2007)
What running away
scene could be cooler than the domino effect? In this movie, Harry Potter and his friends fight Death Eaters until Ginny casts a spell to blast one of the Death Eaters as far away as possible, but then it causes the shelves of Crystal Ball prophecies to fall over like dominoes. Harry, Ron, Hermione, Neville, Ginny, and Luna all run away from the shelves and they go to the side, but the shelves are also falling in that direction as well. Luckily, they all managed to make it to the emergency exit and escaped the crystal ball shelves. It's very challenging to outrun the domino effect.

pirate-dressed waiters in a shopping
cart down a slope over a bus in Star
vs. the Forces of Evil: The Banagic
Incident (2015)
Do you know what was so amazing
Do you know what was so amazing
about this scene? Star Butterfly had
2 different sets of things to run away
from in both opposite directions
towards her while sliding down in one direction in a shopping cart. Since she had magic
on her side, it was a real lifesaver for her to blast herself over the bus by making horse legs

Kaznyk running away from a train
in Super 8 (2011)
Why is this the best Prometheus
Running scene yet? Because there
was so much debris from which to
run away! It was especially
awesome when train cars kept
hitting one another and made one
of the train cars land in front of
Joe, Cary and Charles. Stuff keptblowing up all around and it was
very hard to avoid. Those kids were very lucky to survive. I think that this movie made really great use of their 50 million-dollar budget. They probably spent at least half of it on the train crash alone!
